Vancouver— After spending hours on Twitch trying to corral young voters to side with the NDP, Jagmeet Singh is left feeling stunned after all 40,000 of his Twitch followers have just informed him that they aren’t even old enough to vote.
The timing of the revelation was especially tough as they waited until the eve of election day to tell him the bad news. Had he known earlier, he could have spent more time on platforms such as Facebook trying to get those that think they are still young but actually just turned 40.
Singh spent the waning days of the election playing a Pictionary and Telephone crossover game called Gartic Phone with his 40,000 friends. Who would have ever thought a game played by 12 year old girls at 1980 slumber parties could have drawn people who can’t even vote yet?
A normally upbeat Singh was not angry, just disappointed because these 40,000 people could have reshaped the Canadian election. He is especially angry with user fartknocker_69 who really led him to believe he had his vote.
