Ajax ON — Holding the ‘Enter’ key for two straight minutes, a local man has almost worked up enough courage to press down the button. His brain knows what he has to do, his finger is capable of pressing a button but for some reason getting the two to work together is having some trouble.
As he touches the key, he is thinking about how he had to work ten minutes just to be able to take out his own money on top of his monthly charges. He thinks about the hamburger he could have bought had he not needed the cash and then how much money he has spent in the past 10 years on charges like this. “Do I really want to do this?” he whispers.
The lineup behind him continues to grow with each one thinking this guy must have some serious banking to do. If only they knew he’s just been standing there this whole time with his finger one push away from ending the transaction. Finally after four long minutes the brain signals crossed and he pressed the button. The crowd just looked at him and wished they were as important as he must be, not knowing he just walked away with advanced ATM guilt that will haunt him for the next hour.
