Lifting a box with some unease, a local warehouse worker with some Coronavirus symptoms was very receptive to some of his supervisor’s suggestions.
” Ok so as you can see, you’re having difficulty breathing so you don’t want to be wasting valuable oxygen. You want to use your legs a little more and take some of the pressure off that upper half. You don’t need to take a deep breath when initiating the lift,” the supervisor told him.
The worker lifted the the box, noting that his arms were a little sore as well and his fever was making him a bit uncomfortable.
“That’s perfectly natural. It’s pretty cool out today so we just need you to hold on here for a couple more hours and you can go on your break and get some fresh air. Remember you can do it, just don’t put your back into it. Try it the way I showed you and see how you feel after a few hours. If it’s not working, we can see about maybe doing a little lighter lifting. If it is working, we may need you to stay an extra hour today because you’re really holding us up”
