TORONTO ON — After fearing chaos in the aftermath of Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne being silenced, it turns out Canadians have only noticed minimal differences in their daily lives.
Doris Fairmont of Toronto told us that perhaps her bananas turned brown faster than normal but other than that it’s life as usual so far. She feared that with the lack of these professional opinions that some people may turn to the dark underbelly of internet comment sections to get their views on the royal family but for now just seem to be forming opinions on their own.
Another couple we spoke to who wish to remain anonymous because their parents didn’t know that they were back together told us that they have noticed a lot more tension in their relationship this week but its too premature to blame it on The Talk going on hiatus. Other than the odd squabble, they have been waking up, eating, going to work, and coming home. Instead of streaming The Talk in the evening, they have just started streaming the View. Part of the tension they’re feeling may just be the transition to Joy Behar.
Time will tell if either Piers Morgan or Sharon Osbourne return to television but we will continue to keep an eye on the behaviours of Canadians to see what kind of impact this is all having but so far so good.
